Breasts Does Not Equal Sexual Harassment

The men out there that think it’s ok to say sexual comments and/or make sexual gestures to women, well, you’re PIGS! Just because we, women, have breasts, it doesn’t equate to sexual harassment towards women is ok.

It really pisses me off that I had to keep my mouth shut when this ASSHOLE thought it was ok to sexually harass me. I kept my mouth shut to not antagonize him and make the situation worse.

I was going on a run with one of my Rottweilers (thank goodness, Apollo was with me, because the ASSHOLE may have approached me instead of shouting his inappropriate comments) when I encountered this JERK.

The girl in the photo I don’t dress like that when I workout and there’s nothing wrong with the way she’s dressed. Women should have the freedom to dress any way they want and not be judged or assaulted due to how they are dressed. But, unfortunately, this is not how it is. I wear workout clothes that don’t show my curves.

It’s really sad that we live in a world where men take advantage, overpower and rape women. I received numerous calls from rape victims when I voluteered on a rape crisis line from girls, who were drugged and raped.

If I had daughters and even sons, I would enroll them in Tae Kwon Do or Karate when they are young, so they can defend themselves and never have to feel defenseless or be victimized.

Bridget and Louie

A happy ending to another case of abuse and neglect. Bridget and Louie were lucky they were surrendered to a Texas Animal Shelter, because it led them to love and a better life.

Louie, the black dog, clung to Bridget in the animal shelter. They were fostered by a loving couple while waiting for a furever home. The foster couple helped Bridget and Louie get healthy, trust and show them the good dog life.

Bridget and Louie are now with their furever family in San Diego. To learn about their journey from abuse to love, visit their Facebook page.

Hell hath no Fury

I saw a news report posted on Facebook about 35 adults arrested during a sex trafficking sting where 5 children were rescued. Sex traffickers, child molesters and child abusers are the scum of the Earth and should be put to death immediately. Forgiveness for this scum is not an option.

I’ve posted about Forgiveness and how it’s best to forgive.

But in my opinion, there are some that do not deserve forgiveness and that has to do with anybody that harms a child. They have no conscious, no soul and no regrets about how they have damaged the children they have hurt. Because if given the opportunity, they will traffick, molest and abuse children over and over and over. They can’t be rehabilitated.

Find them and kill them, this is how I feel and nothing will alter my opinion.

Compassion: Make a Difference in a Child’s Life

I just watched a video about dogs being used for bait in dog fighting, where the American Strays Project rescued two Pit bulls in this video. The Pit bulls were starved, malnourished, injured, scared, mouths taped shut and abandoned to die. The rescuers in the video said it was just kids that were doing this to the dogs.

When I heard this I asked myself, Where the HELL did they learn to be so heartless and cruel?

If we don’t care to teach our kids to have compassion, be a responsible and present parent, and be a positive example to ALL children, we end up with this:

And this

Paris Terrorist Attacks

And this

Brussels Terrorist Bombings

And this

Pit bull used as bait for dog fighting

And this

Domestic Violence

And this

And this

And this

Teen Dating Violence

And this

Timothy McVeigh: Oklahoma City Bomber

And this

James Holmes: Aurora, Colorado Theater Shooter

Kids learn to Hate from Adults. They’re not born knowing how to Hate.

Adults can teach compassion to children.

Adults ask yourself, What have I done today that was hateful, racists, violent, disrespectful and what did my behavior teach my child? Then ask yourself, Would I want someone to treat my child the way I just behaved?

What kind of world do we want to live in? What kind of world do we want our kids to live in? Ask yourself that everyday.

Change can happen. Be part of the Change. Be Compassionate. Teach Compassion.

April is Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month

I read this blog by Ends and Beginnings titled The Actions of Others. It was about one of her friends, whose drink was tainted with a Roofie or best known as the Date Rape drug.

For two years, I was a volunteer for a Rape Crisis Hotline. There were numerous calls that I answered where girls were drugged and sexually assaulted. They were, usually, at a bar when the Roofie was slipped into their drink.

Every call, the Victims felt responsible for being raped. And, all of them were ashamed of what had happened to them.

This is what Sexual Assault does to the victim. It makes the VICTIM feel Guilty and Responsible for being RAPED.

When it’s the Piece of SHIT perp, who is GUILTY and to BLAME, for Victimizing the girl or guy.

I would reassure every caller that it was not their FAULT and I would repeat this over and over. They would make every excuse to validate it was their fault, but I kept insisting it was not and explain how they were not to blame for being RAPED.

  • 1 in 5 Women will be raped in their lifetime.
  • In 8 out of 10 cases of rape, the victim knew the person, who assaulted them.
  • 80% of victims are under the age of 30. 44% are under the age of 18.
  • 68% of sexual assaults are not reported to the police.
  • 98% of rapists will never spend a day in jail or prison.
  • Every 107 seconds, another American will be sexually assaulted.
  • Every year, there are about 293,000 victims of sexual assault.

RAINN, Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network, is the nation’s largest anti-sexual assault organization.

Eagle Buddies

This is so GREAT what these teenagers are doing to stop Bullying. They are using their status to protect younger kids from those that are Bullying them. I hope this FANTASTIC deed influences others to step up and do the same as theses two teenagers have done.

Self Defense Classes

I’m looking into Self Defense Classes. I use to volunteer at the Rape Crisis Center and they offer classes.

A woman can be a target just by simply being a female. And it’s sad the percentage of women that are assaulted.

I was reading some Violence against Women statistics and it makes a girl want to never leave her house.

Every 90 seconds, a women somewhere in the United States is sexually assaulted.

Maybe, along with the self defense classes, I should buy a gun and learn how to shoot it.

cartoon children

Three kids were brought into the emergency room last night and it was for neglect. The kids were just babies with the oldest four years old. When this kind of situation comes into the hospital I think WTF! Where are the parents and why don’t they care?

Clearly, there are some people out there that shouldn’t even have kids. The parents, who don’t care for their kids or hooked on drugs or just leave their kids, they should put the kids up for adoption. Give these kids an opportunity to have the experience of growing up in a loving home.

I was adopted. And know that I’m very fortunate to have been adopted by two loving parents. To them, I was their child, not their adopted child, but their child if they could have had biological children.

Because my parents adopted me, I was given opportunities that I wouldn’t have had if I stayed in Korea.

When I see these kids and their biological parents don’t care about them, my heart breaks for them. It really messes up a kid when their own parents don’t want them.

There’s so many people out there that want kids and can’t have them for various reasons, who would love any child as their own.

I hope those three kids in the emergency room last night get the opportunity to grow up with lots of love and people, who care for them.
