Graveyard Shift


I’ve worked the graveyard shift for six years. Two years ago, I was tired of working the shift and was able to change my shift to a mid-day one, which is perfect for me. But then I was offered a job in a department I wanted to change to and went back to working graves.

The other day, I decided I’m really done working the grave shift and tired of being tired all the time. Yesterday, I slept pretty much the entire day after working three 12 hour graves in a row. I have two days off then go back and work two days.

I applied for a position in a different department where the hours are 11:00 A.M. to 11:30 P.M., which is perfect. I’m hoping I get the position so I can have normal work hours and my weekends off.


Positive Thinking: What was Great about Today


For April 28, 2016

  1. Figuring out how to put my Prince songs I bought on Amazon on my Spotify account.
  2. Making more profile pics with Prince on Photoshop.
  3. Having my lunches ready for work this weekend.
  4. Getting lots of sleep.
  5. Making plans with friends to take a trip to tour Paisley Park.
  6. Reading inspiring posts on Facebook and WordPress.
  7. Hugging my dogs.
  8. Going on a run with my Red dog, despite the weather being cold, it was a nice day.
  9. Having the day off from work.
  10. Being at peace with my life.

Tired Tired Tired…


Did I mention how tired I am? LOL

I’ve been awake since about 9 a.m., but I went to sleep at 5 a.m. Yeah, I know my sleeping is out of control. Yesterday, I slept like 12 hours and woke up at 4 in the afternoon. It was so nice to get so much sleep after working all those graves, however, I felt like I wasted the day away sleeping.

Today, I would have liked to have slept like 7 hours. It would be nice to take a nap later, but I never take a nap. I think about naps, but they never happen.

Vampire Girl


I’ve been stuck in this vampire mode. NO, I’m not lurking around at night looking for prey to suck their bodies dry of blood. GROSS!

My sleep pattern is very messed up. I don’t get to sleep until 4 or 5 A.M. then I end up sleeping ALL day. I’m out in the daylight and enjoy the sun for about two hours. And that really sucks. Not to mention it’s really killing my social life.

With summer around the corner, I have to get a handle on my sleep.
