We all can agree that no one has ever entered into a relationship or marriage thinking that it will one day end, especially when a child or children are brought into the equation. But sometimes, an ending is what seems to happen. And we just have to learn to be ok with that.  In my line of work, I have encountered some of the most influential families.  There are times that these moms and dads are now co-parenting their child/ren.  There were some that I would have never guessed were no longer a couple because of the peace that they exhibited. There are times when I have seen the parents and their new spouses all together, laughing and getting along as if they are truly the best of friends and it is a beautiful thing.  How beautiful for their children. I know that it is not always possible to have…

Positive Thinking: What was Great About Today

IMG_20160419_214134

It was a day with my  pups, making cookies, the Sexist Man Alive and Fifty Shades of Black.

  1. My pups are home…they were with my ex over the weekend, since I was working and I always miss them when they aren’t here.
  2. Making chocolate chip cookies.
  3. Watched Fifty Shades of Black, I’ve wanted to see this movie since it came out. The Wayans brothers are so funny.
  4. Going to watch Burnt, Bradly Cooper is HOT.
  5. Running with my Red dog, he’s my exercise buddy.
  6. I took a nap, because the power went out where I live. I couldn’t do anything so it was easy for me to fall asleep.
  7. Making little kids smile, during my run a little boy wanted to pet Apollo and kids are so happy when they see my dogs.
  8. My cookies are nice and fluffy, I think because the dough sat for an hour due to the power going out.
  9. Nice, sunny, warm day.
  10. Having HBO free for 3 months, I saw The Rock in San Andreas.

Painting Classes

A couple days ago, I wanted to paint. I thought about just going to a Paint and Sip night, but I wanted more than one night of painting.

So, taking painting classes, it popped into my head and I pondered it while I was walking my dogs. I like creating and designing. I taught myself how to use Photoshop. And, I’ve, always, been an arty kinda girl all my life.

Just a thought about something I want to do in the near future.

Biotin: Hair, Skin and Nails

images-1

I started taking Biotin a week ago for my eyelashes. They started falling out about ten years ago and the lash serum helps to make new lashes grow. But my lashes are constantly falling out, so I still have areas where I have no lashes.

One of my co-workers told me about Biotin and how it helped to make her nails grow faster and stronger. In less than a week, I noticed my nails are whiter and stronger.

Today, I noticed where I didn’t have lashes there were some long lashes. Still have to see if the Biotin keeps my lashes from falling out.

Mixer-Life Lesson: Number Three

When baking DO NOT plug in the mixer until AFTER putting the beaters in the mixer. Why?

Well, the first time I didn’t know the mixer was turned on and as soon as I put the beater in the mixer my finger got caught in the beater as it spun. Yeah…that hurt and bruised my finger.

Tonight, I did the same thing. I wasn’t paying attention if the mixer was on, because I was talking to my sister on the phone. I didn’t hurt my finger as bad this time. And my sister advised me to not plug in the mixer until the beaters were put in. Because she did the same thing I did.

Baking can be dangerous…lol.
